Christian Eriksen, Mathias Gidsel and Mikkel Hansen invest in Bricks Performance System
May 18, 2026

Christian Eriksen, Mathias Gidsel and Mikkel Hansen are investing in Danish Bricks Performance System, which today opens its platform to all athletes — regardless of sport, age and level.
Bricks is a Danish performance platform — what the company defines as an athlete operating system — bringing the athlete's entire everyday into one system. The platform is used today by more than 1,300 athletes and over 20 sports organisations across Denmark and the Nordics, including several clubs in the Danish Handball League and football clubs such as SK Brann. With today's launch, the platform opens to individual athletes for the first time.
»For far too many years, the athlete has been the only person in the performance environment without real overview of their own development. Data sits in different systems, with different specialists, in different organisations. Bricks brings it all together and gives the athlete the overview and ownership that has been missing.«
»It sounded exciting because I recognised the need. It would have helped me earlier in my career to have one place to gather it all — strength programmes, sleep, how the body feels, and all the other things you can work on yourself to improve as an athlete.«
»I've worked closely with Jacob for several years and have seen what a difference it makes when the athlete doesn't just receive messages but actually understands their own development. That's what Bricks makes possible, and I'm glad to help ensure that everyone can have access to that knowledge, understanding and personal development.«
»The biggest leaps in my development came when I began to understand the connection between the work I put in every day. That insight shouldn't only be for the few. Now it becomes available to everyone — regardless of age, level and sport.«
The three have entered Bricks as investors, co-owners and strategic partners — not as part of a sponsorship deal.
About Bricks Performance System
Bricks Performance System is a Danish company that has developed an athlete-focused performance platform. The platform brings together training, recovery, physiotherapy, communication, calendar, injury management, health and performance data as well as digital athlete education in one system.
Bricks was founded in 2020 by Jacob Baagøe. The company counts six employees today and has customers in Denmark and Norway. The platform is used by more than 1,300 athletes and over 20 sports organisations — including clubs in the Danish Handball League and the Superliga.
About the Athlete Operating System (AthleteOS)
An Athlete Operating System is a new category within sports technology. Where traditional solutions focus on isolated functions like tracking, physical training or reporting, an AthleteOS gathers functions, data, communication and development tools into one connected system — with the athlete as an active participant at the centre.
Unlike classic performance and management systems, the athlete owns their own data in Bricks and grants access to relevant people through consent. This enables coordinated collaboration between clubs, federations, schools, coaches, healthcare professionals, academies, parents and other specialists — with the athlete at the centre.
About the Bricks Academy
A central part of the platform is the Bricks Academy — the company's digital learning universe. The academy launches with its first microlearning programme on hydration and expands continuously with topics such as sleep, recovery, daily planning, physical training, mental wellbeing, cycle, nutrition and injury understanding. The learning universe can also be developed and adapted in collaboration with the club's own specialists.
